To act as a reference centre for information in management, for members & students of IIPM.

To collect, process, store and disseminate information in the field of management, for interested users within the institute.

Current Awareness Services (CAS) - Current Awareness Services is provided to the members to keep themselves up-to-date about the library collection. IIPM Library is fulfilling this services by displaying names of new addition.

Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) - This service is provided to an individual or a group, providing information specific to his/their topic of interest.

Information Retrieval System (IRS) - IIPM Library maintains computerized database for faster access of bibliographical information of books, videocassettes and CD-ROMs. To serve its users effectively and efficiently, considering various factor like budget, space, time, manpower etc, the library has a collection of both print and non-print media.

Print media - IIPM has a well stocked library with a wide range of books, periodicals, journals and magazines relevant to the field.

Non-Print media - The library has a collection of more than 250 Videocassettes and offers facility of in-house viewing of the videocassettes and also continually expanding collection of CD-ROMs, which is closed to about more than 300 numbers.

Reprographic Service - The institute equipped with heavy duty photocopying machine. Photocopying service is provided to the staff members free of charges but nominal fee is charged for student/participants.

Referral - In this service the users are guided to the services and collections of other libraries to satisfy their specific query.

Reference Services through Internet - By the virtue of connecting 24 hours broadband Internet connectivity, IIPM Library is providing reference services to its staff members.
